Most of the favourites have already qualified for the World cup due next summer in South Africa. Will one of the traditional powers (i.e. Brazil, Germany or Italy)or will an emerging nation (Spain, England)or a new rising team(Ivory Coast)triumph in South Africa? For the record, no European team has ever won outside Europe and the trend could very well continue if Brazil performs up to expectations or perhaps a suprising African package rises to the occasions just as the South Koreans did in Asia 2002 when they made it to the semi-finals. I am a great soccer fan and I would love to hear your opinion on the subject.

according to the trend and records, i don't see a european country winning this time. they win in their own den. whereas the south americans have won everywhere, especially brazil. brazil is the only country to have won it in every continent where the cup is held so far. so my bet is on brazil. they are gonna make it 5 out of 5 continents so far!

I agree with you on this one. European team never won outside Europe. And Brazil does look as the #1 candidate for the title.

I believe this is english year... Gerrard, rooney, lampard will take the trophy to london...

My favorite player is Ronaldo.And there are lots of players in the Brazil team I like,such as Kaka,Ronaldinho.Brazil's football style is always magnificent and its players are the most talent players. Germany is a team which always has strong spirit,I like this spirit.Spanish team also has so many talent player,and it has achieve great accomplishment these two years.I think they will get a ideal achievement.I like these three teams.

I will also go for a england win, or else they will have to wait for a long long time before they have chance to win it again yea.
